Michael Massie joins our team as the new Senior Vice President, Finance. This position marks Michael’s return to Jamboree, where he previously served as Director, Housing Development. He managed Jamboree’s affordable housing development program, including public and private finance, design, entitlement, and construction of more than 2,800 multifamily units throughout California. In his new role, Michael will lead Jamboree’s efforts, in collaboration with our Executive Vice President/CFO and Senior Vice President of Development, to establish a loan fund for affordable housing development that leverages resources from foundations, CDFI’s, and private equity.
Sue Irzyk joins the Asset Management team as Jamboree’s newest Asset Manager. In her new role, Sue will act as a liaison with property management agents, lenders and community partners, and manage the fiscal status of an assigned portfolio of properties. With more than 15 years of asset management experience in the Commercial Real Estate, Affordable Housing, and Renewable Energy industries, she has served as property manager and property accountant at Insignia/ESG, a property management company, and as a Senior Asset Manager at Edison Capital Housing where she was responsible for a portfolio of 70+ multifamily low-income housing projects. Senior Asset Manager Paola Flores said, “Sue’s wealth of financial experience and industry knowledge as an asset manager during her tenure at Edison Capital makes her a key addition to our team.“ Sue comes to us from Tricon American Homes where she was a Staff Accountant responsible for the financial performance of more than 1,200 single-family rental homes.
Tami Tellez has been working as a temp with our Development team, and recently accepted a position as our new HR Generalist. “Tami has already proven to be a huge asset to our Human Resources team, and I know her passion will help further the Jamboree mission,” said HR Director Karen Hammond. Tami most recently served at Nationstar Mortgage, managing administrative and operational problems between multiple departments. She has also worked as a Service Manager in the restaurant industry, developing teams to meet goals and objectives, and conducting performance reviews and appraisals. Tami has a positive attitude and willingness to help, and is already taking classes to fine-tune her focus on HR. Her responsibilities will be to provide support and expertise to all levels of staff regarding HR policies and best practices, including recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
